The Have Nots

The Duppies

Idols End

Club 57 West

PRESS:
http://www.sonicbids.com/havenots

"A sound that’s likely to make most would-be ska bands nervously upchuck their breakfasts...sonically charged ska-punk brilliancy...as strong as a heroine kick. Have Nots actually do the genre some justice and come out sounding fresh and new."
-Punknews.org April 2009

“Upstroke crazy verses, triumphantly downtrodden choruses, and perky lead-geet bits get the kids two-steppin…If you like Operation Ivy, you’ll like this. And if you don’t like Operation Ivy, well, shit man, what’s wrong with you?”
-The Boston Phoenix Jan 2009

"Have Nots have created one of the best local punk releases of the last several years. Purposeful and passionate, righteous yet nuanced and sometimes poetic...Songs like “Poisoned Antidote” and “SBC” are so catchy that I have actually found myself waking up in the middle of the night singing them...This is the type of album that gets a band headliner status really quickly." (Kevin Finn)

Converge

"Incredibly prolific punk-metal road dogs Converge were formed in the winter of 1990-1991, and after several singles, compilation appearances, and the requisite growing pains, they released their first full-length, Halo in a Haystack, in 1994. The Boston-based quartet initially comprised vocalist/visual artist Jacob Bannon guitarist kirt ballue bassistJeff Feinburgand drummer Dammon Bellorado with second guitarist Aaron Delbec joining in 1994 (he later left in 2001 without being replaced). Over the years the band also found time to lend out members to various side projects, including Kingdom of the Sun, Old Man Gloom, and Kid Kilowatt (the short-lived band that also included members of Cave In) Hydra Head issued Caring and Killing in 1996, which gathered tracks released over 1991-1994, followed a year later by Petitioning the Empty Sky through Equal Vision. Cave in’s Stephen Brodsky entered on bass in place of Fienberg in 1997 as well, and by the release of 1998's When forever comes crashing, Converge had proved themselves a force to be reckoned with in the hardcore-metal scene. Brodsky left the band that same year to be replaced by bass Nate Newton; Bellorado exited in 1999 and, soon enough, the band had welcomed drummer Ben Koller into the fray. A split with Japan's Hellchild appeared in 2001 through Death Wish, Inc. (which Bannon Co-owns) before Converge's ever-growing reputation among fans and critics was cemented even further with that fall's release of their fourth official full-length, the highly acclaimed metal masterpiece Jane Doe Converge was by now regarded as one of the most original and innovative bands to emerge from the punk underground. Trudging along, the band during that time played over 600 shows with varying success -- their hard work made it possible for them to retain their cult status within the punk underground without the kind of commercial success that has vaulted other punk bands into the middle of alternative rock radio and press. Rare and out of print tracks were next collected together for 2003's Unloved and Weeded Out compilation before Converge returned the following year with the studio full-length You Fail Me their first for Epitaph. Always reliable and consistently brutal, Bannon, Ballou, Koller and Newton were back after more rounds of touring by October 2006 with the jaw-dropping No Heroes Stacia Proefrock, All Music Guide"

Fun Ao Sol is an event taking place on July 25th geared towards bringing together and promoting Orlando’s independent music and arts scene. A wide variety of genres will be displayed at this festival including blues, jazz, acoustic rock, and rock. The list continues to grow and as it does so does the fan base. Offering all these types of music does a few things for our day. It brings different audiences to one event and even though they are different audiences they all share one thing, a passion for music. Beside music we will be showcasing art from local artists. Everything from paintings to photography will be showcased. Artists can put their work up for display or up for sale. The main point is promoting their work but also create an atmosphere where people can network and meet other artists they might not meet if a festival like this didn’t happen. Not only will we have art on display but we will also offer collaborative art pieces that anyone attending can be a part of. This can range from large canvas paintings to individual guitar paintings. At the end of the day people will have experienced music, art, and networking with everyone in attendance. We hope to spark imagination and ignite friendships that will help each others careers in music, art, or whatever the individuals case may be.

Aaron Horkey the name that strikes fear into the hearts of other screen printers/poster artists…

Aaron’s latest release is for Andrew Bird’s show 7/10/09. This baby measures in at 15.25 x 34.75 inches and is stunning, worth every inch! As a collector of Aarons work for the past 3-4 years I have been wowed by his pieces before but I am especially stoked about this one! Earth-tones and trilobites and Horkey’s trademark lettering , and so much detail in the grass I can’t wait to see (one/mine) in person! This print will be sold through Posters and Toys at an as yet unannounced date.
